The School Liaison Office (SLO) helps to ease the transition from one school to another (before and after a move) and helps with navigating the school systems to ensure our military youth are given the opportunity to achieve their highest potential for academic success at any assigned location.

SLO is the primary point of contact between the military installation, Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS), local British schools, Home School families, parents and the community at large. The School Liaison Office (SLO) connects these different partners to help improve education for American military families in the RAF Lakenheath/RAF Mildenhall/RAF Feltwell area.

Parents, school personnel and community members with questions on school-age military child education are encouraged to contact their local School Liaison Office.

More About SLO

The Dept. of Air Force School Liaison Program provides military children the opportunity to thrive academically, socially and emotionally, regardless of duty station, deployments or transition status. The School Liaison Program (SLP) is a community facilitator; SLP connects schools, families, and community services to enhance K-12 educational opportunities for military children. The SLP assists commanders and Total Force families in meeting the challenging demands of the military lifestyle by developing and maintaining partnerships between parents, installation leadership, local schools, Department of Defense Education Activity and International Schools and the community. The hallmark to force retention is the expectation that families are safe and well supported; strong families improve mission readiness.
