We have a large collection of CLEP/Dantes study guides along with specialist study guides such as for the AFOQT, the SATs, ACTs, GRE etc. We also offer online access to practice tests for many CLEP subjects as well as the standardized tests. The Library has all current and much past material for the Chief of Staff Reading List, as well as access to much of the titles online via eBook or audiobook formats.
As well as extensive online and physical collections, the Library offers quiet study space, a public computer room (including a black and white printer for you to use, in moderation, for free), flatbed scanners, and a 3D printer for patron use (please call the Library for more information on the restrictions on 3D printing.)
We not only have a large collection of adult/teens/children books, but so much more. We have CLEP/DANTES study guides, Chief of Staff reading list, books on CD, video games, DVDs and more.
Amongst the extensive databases and subscription services the library offers free to patrons is included: Mango Languages for basic and intermediate language learning; EBSCO’s Academic Search Premier for peer-reviewed journal searching; Ancestry Library Edition and Fold3 for genealogical research; RBDigital Comics & Graphic Novels; RBDigital Magazines, PressReader, and ProQuest’s Major Dailies Newspapers for your current affairs reading; Freegal and Hoopla for listening to music along with ArtistWorks Music Lessons for when you want to get more practical. All these – and many more – are available for you to use from anywhere and for free: all you need is a USAFE library account and card to get started.
The Library offers programs for all ages throughout the year. The weekly preschoolers Storytime is typically on Wednesday mornings from 11am and features several stories and a crafting session. The Summer Reading Program runs during part of the DoDEA school holidays and involves several weekly events, digital tracking and badges, and free giveaway reward items. Our Dr. Seuss Birthday Party is always popular in March, and our Santa’s Storytime in December is not to be missed. We also offer movie showings, educational seminars, crafting for all ages, and much more. Many of these will be advertised in the 100 FSS publication Get Up & Go, so be sure to keep an eye out there!
